Lead Pastor

Rev. Amelia Fulbright

Rev. Amelia Fulbright brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Lead Pastor at Congregational. Born in Zambia to missionary parents, Amelia’s life has been shaped by a deep commitment to faith and service. Amelia holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where she specialized in New Testament and pastoral care. In her early career, she served as a chaplain, youth minister, domestic violence counselor, and an Associate Pastor, demonstrating a dedication to supporting both individuals and communities.

In 2013, Amelia founded Labyrinth Progressive Student Ministry, the first open and affirming campus ministry at the University of Texas, showing her commitment to inclusivity and progressive values. She went on to serve as Senior Pastor and Transitional Pastor at churches in Austin, Texas before coming to Congregational in December 2023.

Amelia is married with two young children. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and vibrant faith community of love, compassion, and justice, where everyone feels supported and inspired. Email Amelia at cuccrevamelia@gmail.com.


Associate Pastor

Rev. Dr. Mia Hash-Sloan

Mia is ordained, a third-generation minister who brings over 25 years of ministerial and community leadership to our congregation. In her words, “my ministry is deeply informed by my own journey of faith – rooted in the legacy of my ancestors and shaped by my commitment to justice and compassion. My work is consistently grounded in love, justice, and liberation.”

Mia is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts. She holds a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University School of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University.

In her career, she worked as a youth, family and community pastor, consultant for 15 years providing pastoral, visionary, and strategic leadership for children, youth, young adults, and college campus ministries. She also served as an Associate Pastor/Executive Pastor of the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Initiatives for seven years, providing pastoral leadership to a thriving intergenerational, multi-racial, multi-ethnic congregation.

Currently, in addition to serving as our part time Associate Pastor, Mia works as an HIV Faith Communities Manager in the Wake Forest School of Divinity’s Faith Compass Center with Gilead Sciences.

Mia is the proud mother of two young adults who she considers her “greatest joys” and the heart of her life’s purpose. She enjoys hiking in nature, meditative walking, African tie-dying, visiting art galleries and museums, exploring gemstones, and embracing the beauty of everyday life. Mr. Jimmy Buchanan

Jimmy Buchanan joined CUCC as Director of Music in August 2008.  He is a middle school choral director with Guilford County Schools and is a native of Morganton, NC and the mountains.  Jimmy graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Music Education in December of 2002 and in August 2004 he received his Masters of Choral Conducting degree, also from Appalachian State University.  Jimmy directs the CUCC Chancel Choir and the Hand-Bell Choir.  If you would like to contact Jimmy, you can email him at jrbsoul68@gmail.com.

Dr. Robin Morace

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Robin obtained the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the State University of New York at Fredonia, studying piano with Fr. Seán Duggan, OSB.  Nine years ago, he came to Greensboro to pursue his doctorate at UNCG, which he received in December 2021, studying piano and historical keyboard instruments with Dr. Andrew Willis.  Though he is primarily a pianist, he is passionate about and performs regularly on a wide array of keyboard instruments, including the fortepiano, harpsichord, clavichord, and, of course, organ.  When not studying or performing music, Robin loves to read and spend time outdoors.  Email Robin at moraclavier@gmail.com.


Facilities Manager

Mr. Chuck McKoy

Chuck McKoy has owned and operated several facilities-related businesses in Greensboro since 2010. He currently owns All Mack Services, Inc. where he provides residential home renovations, remodeling, and apartment maintenance. He is a dedicated and skilled technician with proficiency in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry. Chuck spends his time keeping our Sanctuary, classrooms, and meeting rooms well maintained and safe for our congregation and visitors, a challenging job in a church built in the 1950’s. Ms. Judy Page

Judy Page is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  In 1997, she and her husband moved to Greensboro to follow a job opportunity. They have since moved to the Raleigh, NC area to be closer to their adult children, with Judy working remotely for our church. Congregational UCC is the fourth church Judy has served in both the Milwaukee and Greensboro areas.
