Lead Pastor

Rev. Amelia Fulbright

Rev. Amelia Fulbright brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Lead Pastor at Congregational. Born in Zambia to missionary parents, Amelia’s life has been shaped by a deep commitment to faith and service. Amelia holds a Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a Master of Divinity degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where she specialized in New Testament and pastoral care. In her early career, she served as a chaplain, youth minister, domestic violence counselor, and an Associate Pastor, demonstrating a dedication to supporting both individuals and communities.

In 2013, Amelia founded Labyrinth Progressive Student Ministry, the first open and affirming campus ministry at the University of Texas, showing her commitment to inclusivity and progressive values. She went on to serve as Senior Pastor and Transitional Pastor at churches in Austin, Texas before coming to Congregational in December 2023.

Amelia is married with two young children. She is passionate about creating a welcoming and vibrant faith community of love, compassion, and justice, where everyone feels supported and inspired. Email Amelia at cuccrevamelia@gmail.com.

Mr. Jimmy Buchanan

Jimmy Buchanan joined CUCC as Director of Music in August 2008.  He is a middle school choral director with Guilford County Schools and is a native of Morganton, NC and the mountains.  Jimmy graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Music Education in December of 2002 and in August 2004 he received his Masters of Choral Conducting degree, also from Appalachian State University.  Jimmy directs the CUCC Chancel Choir and the Hand-Bell Choir.  If you would like to contact Jimmy, you can email him at jrbsoul68@gmail.com.

Dr. Robin Morace

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Robin obtained the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the State University of New York at Fredonia, studying piano with Fr. Seán Duggan, OSB.  Nine years ago, he came to Greensboro to pursue his doctorate at UNCG, which he received in December 2021, studying piano and historical keyboard instruments with Dr. Andrew Willis.  Though he is primarily a pianist, he is passionate about and performs regularly on a wide array of keyboard instruments, including the fortepiano, harpsichord, clavichord, and, of course, organ.  When not studying or performing music, Robin loves to read and spend time outdoors.  Email Robin at moraclavier@gmail.com.


Church Administrator

Caretta Brown

Caretta brings over 21 years of experience in office administration, and customer service experience. She is a native of Richmond, VA where she served as a Youth Ministry leader and Office Administrator for International Christian Ministries for over 15 years. After relocating to North Carolina, she worked as a Work Management Specialist for Duke Energy Operations in Burlington and other church office manager roles. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, thrifting, upcycling clothes, and working as a mobile nail technician. She holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Bryant and Stratton College in Richmond, Virginia.


Facilities Manager

Chris Shields

Chris has over 20 years of experience in carpentry, electrical, construction and repair, custom finish work, landscaping, furniture making and more. He describes himself as a family man first; husband and father of three…well, four, if you include his sweet dog Sophie! He is also a passionate community volunteer who uses his talents and heart to serve others. He is an active volunteer with refugee resettlement in our area as well as various other service projects.

Ms. Judy Page

Judy Page is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She and her husband, Brian, moved to Greensboro with their three young children in 1997 to follow a job opportunity for Brian.  They have three adult children and are members of First Lutheran Church.  Congregational UCC is the fourth church Judy has served in both the Milwaukee and Greensboro areas.  She’s been with CUCC since 2007.  In her spare time, Judy enjoys yoga, walking, traveling, and history.  Email Judy at office@congregationalucc.com.

Ms. Renae Williams

Our Church Custodian is Renae Williams, who joined us as of September 2000.  She and her husband, Danny, are the parents of five children and live in McLeansville.
